Overview of the Life Safety Codes – Module One

This three-hour course, Overview of the Life Safety Codes – Module One presents the core sections of Life Safety Code. The basic philosophy and core requirements of the course are presented in this module. The scope, purpose, and application of the course are positioned to allow the building blocks or fundamentals of the course to be described, understood, and correctly applied. Water spray fixed systems shall be specifically designed provide for effective fire control, extinguishment, prevention, or exposure protection. This course shall not apply to water spray protection from portable nozzles, sprinkler systems, monitor nozzles, water mist suppression systems, explosion suppression, or other means of application covered by other standards of NFPA. The information in this course discusses the essential requirements and recommendations needed to give a working knowledge to professionals in this field.
