This course presents the significant code changes from the 2004 Florida Building Code to the 2007 Florida Building Code.  The course highlights the differences and includes base code changes in the 2006 International Building Code and the Florida specific changes.  The course includes topics such as Wind Borne Debris region and opening protectives, changes to pools, mezzanines, mixed occupancies, fire resistant construction and fire protection, means of egress, energy, and structural requirements.

This course will provide contractors with practical information on changes to the 2007 Florida Building Code.  Upon completion of this course, participants will understand the changes made to the 2007 Florida Building Code including but not limited to the requirements of the Wind Borne Debris region and opening protectives, changes to pools, mezzanines, mixed occupancies, fire resistant construction and fire protection, means of egress, energy, and structural requirements.
