Current Curriculum:

The following topics will be discussed in detail for the purpose of fulfilling the Advanced Electronic Intrusion Technician (Alarm Level 2) – NTS Level 2 equivalent educational requirements (course module descriptions, summaries, and outlines are attached):

Proper techniques for learning, ladder safety, electrical safety, proper eye protection, types of glass, space detection rules, protection of assets, interior/exterior environments, motion detectors (PIR/Microwave/Ultrasonic/Dual Technology/Photographic/Vibration), beam detectors, audio detectors, false alarm prevention,types of door and contacts, application considerations, interior and exterior environments, system design, Volt OHM Meter uses and functions, meter types, meter safety, calculating resistance/current/voltage, inductance, reading resistors, AC vs. DC, analog vs. digital, capacitors,job planning, power supplies, wire distances, data input devices, wire types/selection, wire routing and fishing, mounting techniques, panel commissioning, inputs/outputs, panel testing, device testing, and troubleshooting techniques.

This Course is accepted in the following states: Texas, Louisianna, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee.  This certification course is NOT endorsed by the NTS/NBFAA and is only accepted for approval in the states listed above.
 

Functionality

  • Each group of topics will be divided into 8 segments ranging from .5 hours to 5 hours for a total of 16 classroom equivalent hours. NOTE: Course modules will be delivered through SCORM standard LMS (Learning Management System) compliant software. Our courses utilize the Articulate® e-learning platform.
  • All progress and results are tracked in real-time offering immediate interaction with the student, as well as the ability for the student to log off and log back on where they left off.
  • Throughout the course modules the student must answer knowledge checks, and at the end of each course module there is a mandatory 10 question quiz (cannot receive credit unless a score of 70% or better is obtained).

  • After all 16 hours of course material has been completed a voucher will be sent via email or fax to the student. NOTE: This will be needed along with a picture ID in order to take the proctored two hour final exam.
  • The student will then schedule the proctored 100 question final exam and take their exam with a national testing company, PSI (see attached for a list of testing centers in Iowa). NOTE: Upon immediate completion of the final exam the student and Elite CEU are notified of the score.
  • Once the final exam is passed with a 70% or better Elite CEU will be notified and a certificate of completion will be processed and mailed directly to the student by the next business day. NOTE: If a student fails to pass they must reschedule with PSI and pay a $45 retesting fee in order to retake the final exam.

  • Secure login and registration procedures (using a security socket layer)  all personal data, login, and password are entered in and accessed only by the licensee.
  • Watermarked documents (vouchers/certificates) dated with signature  to prevent copying.
  • Built-in randomized testing with automatic grading features derived from the course material  can not be altered or accessed by user.
  • Minimum grading requirements  no certification or completion status of any section will be granted unless the score is 70% or better.
  • Monitored and verified by a 128 bit encrypted SQL server platform.
  • Voucher and picture ID system to ensure proper identification of student.
